What does a cleaning consist of?
Your first visit will consist of an exam, xrays and the cleaning itself.
Do I have to see the Doctor for a cleaning?
It is mandatory to see the Doctor on your first visit. It is then required once a year after that initial visit.
How much will my insurance pay? How much do I pay?
Each insurance company is different. We can provide you with the codes we use to file
your insurance. You can call your insurance company for information on how much you will be responsible to pay.
Do you accept my insurance? Do you file my insurance for me? What insurance plan do you participate with?
We are providers for Delta Dental. We will file your insurance as a courtesy but you are responsible for what they do not pay.
Does the Doctor perform extractions? Does he "do it all"?
Dr. Finucane performs simple extractions. If he feels the extraction is more complex, he will refer you to
Dr. Hathcock or an oral surgeon.
Do you accept Medicaid?
No, we do not accept Medicaid.
What age do you start seeing children?
We will try to attend to all children's needs, but we prefer the child see a pediodontist
until age 5.
Are you taking new patients?
Yes, we are accepting new patients.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
We offer Care Credit and some in office financing options for treatment.
If I am a new patient or have an emergency, how soon can you work me in?
We work patients in as soon as possible depending on the doctor's schedule and possible cancellations.
Is your work guaranteed? If so, how long?
This depends on the procedure you are having done and if it's created in one of our out of office laboratories.
What are your fees?
All procedures vary in price.
If this is my 1st visit, must I pay upfront for services?
Yes.
Will I automatically receive a refund if insurance and patient paid for the same service?
No, you will need to call the office to request a refund
check. If a check is not requested, the credit will
remain on your account.
How many times a year do I have to have xrays?
You must have BWX at least once a year. Panoramic xrays are required every 3-5 years.
How much radiation will I get from the xrays?
We are proudly providing you with new digital xrays!

If I'm sick, should I keep my dentist appointment?
No. Please call to reschedule.
Cancellation Policy- We ask that you give us at
least 24 hours notice for all cancellations. (we
call all patients to confirm appointments as a
courtesy.) We have a waiting list of patients
trying to be seen, so a timely cancellation is not
frowned upon. However, if you do not show up and
have not canceled within 24 hours, there will be a
$25.00 no show fee. We are looking to help as many
people as we can!
Are
Lumineers and Veneers the same?
No. Lumineers
are a painless and permanent smile enhancer.
Lumineers are approximately .2mm and super translucent.
(See Lumineer page) Traditional veneers are fused
or bonded to teeth and, generally, your dentist will
need to grind down your tooth for a proper fit.
This can sometimes result in the death of the tooth
pulp, causing the need for a root canal.
